airBaltic is looking for a software developer to join a team of developers covering a diverse range of projects, with emphasis on external and internal web applications, data integration and data warehouse development. The main area of work for the chosen candidate will center on airBaltic’s main internet presence www.airbaltic.com and related systems/interfaces. The position is part of the Information Systems department, reporting to Head of Software development.

Requirements

  • General knowledge about PHP (with a focus on object oriented concepts)
  • Experience working with version control systems (e.g. git)
  • Skills and experience in building database driven applications and working with SQL language (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
  • Experience working with Javascript (especially JQuery framework)
  • Knowledge about web security
  • Knowledge about Pimcore or Zend Framework
  • Knowledge about web services
  • Experience in complex web application development with multiple parties
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and business judgmental skills
  • Fluent command of the English language

Optional, but regarded as an advantage

  • Experience working with modern IDEs (Eclipse, NetBeans, etc.)
  • Experience working with Java EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate, Spring MVC, Struts2
  • Experience working with build / dependency management systems such as Ant or Maven
