You will be expected to code the designs into wordpress themes using valid xhtml 1.0 strict code. More detail: You must be able to to handle all aspects of WordPress theme development, from the install of the cms to the development of additional functionality. You will push WordPress to its limits and beyond. Requirements: Do not apply if you are not self-organised and comfortable with freelance work. You MUST have previous examples of WordPress site/theme development. You MUST possess a good working knowledge of jQuery and how to make it fly with wordpress You MUST be comfortable with using custom fields in the front end as well as the back end (custom field templates). You MUST be comfortable with writing additional functions for themes as well as for the backend (custom function pages). You MUST be comfortable with photoshop (the designs will be provided in a .psd format) You MUST be comfortable with working on a dev server and using basecamp for project communications. You MUST have a DRY attitude towards theme development You should approach all projects with a can-do attitude which is backed up by skill and experience. No in-line styles, only semantic, external css. No in-line js code, only external js files. We are a London-based web design consultancy and are looking for a freelancer to help us out when we have too much work in our hands.
