Edurio, one of Europe’s leading EdTech startups is looking to bring an experienced Front-end developer on board to help us grow internationally and build a state-of-the-art platform.
Edurio helps private and public school networks empower their schools to deliver evidence-driven quality improvement. We work with over 800 schools across Europe and South Africa and collaborate with leading academics and Ministries of Education. Edurio has developed a web platform for continuous stakeholder feedback management as well as a framework for evidence-driven school improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new user-facing features
  • Build reusable codeand librariesfor future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

What we're looking for

  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as Stylus
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including Vue.js
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Photoshop is a plus
